What was the highlight of Swiss-Belhotel Napier
New modern hotel but its own 5 star rating is a stretch too far. I’d give it a four.
Room well equipped, bed comfy. A/C good and laundry facilities available. Garage also available at a cost.
No water available for the room. Tried to get some but comms with front desk after 9pm not good. No pool or gym. No restaurant only breakfast room.

Poor communication Has tried to call several times for some questions about the facility. One staff was not sure about the answer and said will call back after checking with senior staff but never called back; subsequently we called a few times and couldn’t get through. Also left msg on booking.com but no answers until the date we arrived No microwave in the kitchen area

Wonderful
We loved our stay! We were able to have our two small dogs stay with us which we loved! Our room was really nice, love the design. Nice bathroom. Good breakfast with plenty of options. Probably the best hotel we have stayed in Napier so far.

Very Good
Clean, modern, spacious
We were abruptly advised upon arrival we would be liable for a $100 daily room servicing fee if we wanted our room serviced (beds made, towels changed, general clean, rubbish bin cleared). This was rather perplexing as we had already paid for the room and had booked the accommodation based on the knowledge we would have our room serviced as part of the standard room charge. This newly implemented additional charge was both shocking and disappointing. We went without a room service for our 5 day stay, making for a less than comfortable arrangement - no rubbish cleared, toilet paper shortages, and general cleaning that we were under the assumption would be provided as part of our standard room charge.
